Hi, my name is Katy and I am a writer. I have loved to write since I was a kid and it is something I have always been passionate about. I have loved reading since I was in elementary school and was introduced to Magic Tree House. It is a hobby that has carried into my adult life and sharing that with my friends. In my spare time I love reading fantasy unless I'm on a beach, then I love reading a good romance novel. When my brain needs a break I enjoy watching crime television. My family is so important to me and they push me to do great things.

I am majoring in Professional Writing at the University of Oklahoma. I am also minoring in publishing and editing as well. It took me a long time to finally tell myself that it was a good idea to follow my dream and become a writer. Growing up people tell you to be a doctor, lawyer, or something that will make you more money. I told myself that it made sense to get a job that paid more, but eventually I realized my happiness was more important. A life surrounded by books was a life I wanted to live, so everyday I make sure I'm following a path that will get me there.
