1989 (Taylor's Version) came out on October 27, 2023. The original 1989 was released in 2014 and it was the album that Taylor claimed her switch from country to pop music. This album seems to capture her life while in her 20s and was around the time that she dated Harry Styles. This re-record has had some "backlash" because of how different people think it sounds. Personally I don't think it sounds much different than the other re-records. She sounds older and her voice has matured, but overall I really like 1989 (Taylor's Version).

My personal favorites from the original 1989 would be "Welcome To New York," "Out Of The Woods," and "You Are In Love." The pop sound from 1989 showed a different side of Taylor, and the songs show how diverse she can be. Many say that the album is best listened to while in New York City, and I would have to agree. 1989 is so fun and Taylor creates a great listening experience. My favorite vault tracks from 1989 (Taylor's Version) is "Is It Over Now?" and "Now That We Don't Talk." I really enjoy all of the vault songs and although there are only five of them, I think it's one of the best vaults out of all of the re-recordings. Her most popular songs off of 1989 were "Style," "Blank Space," "Shake It Off," and "Bad Blood." Taylor's music has always been popular, but many people were upset when Taylor made the transition from country to pop. Even with the criticism she faced, 1989 was incredibly successful. Out of all of her albums this is probably the one most people think of when they hear the name Taylor Swift. "Shake It Off" was heard all over the radio and in schools all over

the world. It was a pop hit that kids loved, and people still think of it when they think of Taylor. Although, it is important to note that not all of Taylor's music since her transition to pop sounds like "Shake It Off." Her music is incredibly diverse and while there are songs that are so easy to dance to, there are also songs to cry to.
