The Tortured Poets Department is arguably Taylor Swift's best album. My boyfriend tells me that just because it's my favorite that doesn't mean it's the best, but I truly think it's her best work. TTPD is Taylor Swift's eleventh studio album, and was released in April of 2024. I think it's her most personal album and I love every second of it. I remember the day she announced the album at the Grammy Awards and I remember sitting in bed when she announced an entire second half of the album. I was incredibly disappointed when she didn't win any Grammys for TTPD, but I do understand that many people didn't like it as much as her other stuff. I love every single song on The Tortured Poets Department, but some of my favorites are "Fortnight", "The Tortured Poets Department", "Down Bad", "So Long, London", "Fresh Out The Slammer", "The Black Dog", "The Alchemy", "The Prophecy", and "So High School". I am a big fan of Travis Kelce and Taylor, so when I first heard "So High School", I was very giddy. I am a hopeless romantic, which is a reason I love to read, but also why I love their relationship and the songs about it. I love how much her presence at football games makes people angry, and all she's doing is existing. I think this album is a masterpiece, and those that get it get it.
