Evermore is the sister album to Folklore. Both albums were written and produced during the pandemic, and Evermore was released less than five months after Folklore. The thing that makes Evermore so different from the rest of her albums is that it was a surprise release. Nobody expected an album that soon after Folklore and it shocked the entire fandom. Similar to Folklore, the album is one that Taylor wrote where she focuses on her storytelling rather than an album about her life . That's why Evermore and Folklore are sister albums.

Evermore is an album that many of Taylor's fans say she forgets about. There's an ongoing joke that Taylor doesn't like Evermore and doesn't care about it. This is because she tends to focus more on her other albums, but she said on tour that she loves Evermore. I personally love the album and think it's incredible, but there a lot of people who aren't a fan. A couple of my favorite songs are "evermore," "coney island," and "tolerate it." I struggle to choose as I write this because there are so many songs on Evermore that I love. "Right Where You Left Me" is a bonus track that Taylor added and it is one of my favorite Taylor songs. The production and lyrics are so good and I believe it's one of Taylor's best songs. I listened to Taylor a lot as a child, but I eventually stopped listening for a little while. I wasn't the biggest fan of Reputation and I had no idea that Lover had been released, but when I heard Folklore and Evermore I fell back in love with Taylor's music. Evermore is cozy and is a great album to play when you're studying or reading a book. It's very poetic and reminds me of the holidays, which is my favorite time of year.
