Midnights is Taylor's tenth original studio album, and was released in October of 2022. It is a very pop album and reminds me a lot of a more mature version of 1989. The production sounds a lot different than anything else Taylor has released, and it's a very fun album.

When I first listened to Midnights I was really shocked and confused. I hadn't heard anything like it and was expecting something much different from the album. After I had listened to it a couple of times I realized I really loved it. I know a lot of people aren't a fan of the album because it sounds so different from her other albums. I understand why people are thrown off, but it is a very solid album. My favorite songs off of the album are "Sweet Nothing," "Mastermind," and "Midnight Rain." The night that the album was released she released a deluxe album called Midnights (3am Edition) and it included seven new songs. The deluxe part of the album actually includes three of my favorite songs, which are "Paris," "High Infidelity," and "Would've, Could've, Should've." The Midnights era lasted much longer than some of her other eras. During the eras tour she still released a lot of new stuff, including special songs from Midnights. Taylor released a "Till The Dawn Edition" of Midnights, which included "Snow On The Beach (Feat. More Lana Del Rey). The original "Snow On The Beach" was criticized by fans because Lana was only in the backing vocals, and Taylor re-recorded the song and gave Lana a verse. The special edition also included Karma (feat. Ice Spice) and a song called "Hits Different." Finally, she released a song called "You're Losing Me," but it could only be heard on a CD that was a sold at one show on The Eras Tour. A couple of days ago when Taylor was announced as Spotify's Global Top Artist, she released the song on streaming. I believe that the song is one of Taylor's best and is my favorite from the album.
