Reputation is one of the last two albums that Taylor needs to re-record. It came out in 2017 and was a very iconic moment in Taylor's career. When Taylor Swift released Reputation it was after the later drama between her and Kanye. The world started to criticize Taylor and said things about her love life and how she loves to be a victim. She received so many hate messages because of the Kim and Kanye drama, and as a result she went off the grid for a little while. She wasn't seen in paparazzi photos or on social media. She needed a break from publicity, and during that time where she was hidden she was recording Reputation.

The first single she released from the album was "Look What You Made Me Do." Nobody was expecting to see Taylor post on social media and they definitely didn't expect her to release music. The song features lyrics that say "The role you made me play Of the fool, no, I don't like you." Many people suspect that the song is about Kanye, and the theory seems to be true. Another song on the album is obviously about Kanye West. The song "This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things," has many lyrics that are targeted towards Kanye. For some people, it might be hard to understand the context behind the lyrics. If you want to learn more about the Kanye and Taylor drama you can visit my other blog post that explains it. The lyrics "It was so nice being friends again, there I was giving you a second chance, but you stabbed my back while shaking my hand." These lyrics are very clearly about Kanye and the incident between them. They became friends after their first feud and then he came out with Famous and it started everything up again. That's just one of the lines that calls out Kanye. Reputation was iconic and many of her fans love the album, but overall it wasn't one of her most popular. It's definitely in my bottom five of her ten albums, but it is really good. My personal favorite songs from the album are "Dress" and "New Year's Day."
